Mike Piazza  

Acquired from the Marlins in a mid-season deal in 1998, Piazza hit over 200 home runs for the Mets from 1998 to 2005. He is famous for the rivalry between him and Roger Clemens.  In the 2000 World Series, Clemens threw a broken bat at him. Piazza signed with the Padres in 2006.

 "The Franchise" won 189 games for the Mets from 1967 to 1977, when he was traded to the Reds in what was known as "the midnight massacre."  Seaver was elected to the Hall of Fame with a record 98.6% of the votes.

Darryl Strawberry

Strawberry was brought up in 1983 and hit 252 home runs for the Mets  from 1983 to 1991.  In 1986 he played a big role in the Mets' championship.  He later struggled with drug abuse, but also played on several Yankee World Series winners.
