Gymnastics class is fun!  Sometimes we do jumps called straddles on the trampoline.  A straddle is when you jump up and spread your legs out like you're doing a jumping-jack.  A really hard jump we do is the pike. The pike is where you jump with your legs straight out and try and touch your nose with your feet. On the trampoline we also do backwards and forwards jumping splits. Sometimes we also just jump on a regular circular trampoline.
The pit is a trampoline covered in little foam balls that are soft. We run around the edges of the trampoline and jump into the pit and then try to land on a squishy mat. Sometimes we just jump in the pit. Also, we sometimes have to try and climb a rope with a knot on the end. Our instructor will swing us on the rope and then we jump into the pit! We want to climb all the way to the top of the rope to get the coconuts. If you climb to the middle you only get the yellow banana. I can climb all the way up to get the coconuts! The pit is really fun.

There are three positions that make up the handstand. For the first position, you stand with your legs together and feet spread apart. Your arms have to be straight at your side. Your hands should be positioned so that your ring and middle fingers should be held together and pointing towards your palm. For the second positionyou raise your hands straight above your head. For the third position you stick your right foot out. Now you are ready to do a handstand!

There are no positions for the headstand. For the headstand, you have to balance on your head using your hands for support.  You have to bend yuor legs and then stretch them straight up. Headstands are hard. I can only do one for about five seconds!
